10 Months, 27 Days

An April weekend and we're making the most of our time together as a family. Saturday we took the dogs to the beach for a big, soggy romp.

Scout watches from the safety of her mama's back. There's nothing worse then being toppled and slimed by a couple of rowdy beach dogs.

The traditional hold-and-bend stick retrieving move made famous by baby toting dog owners everywhere.

Dogs and the chilly North Atlantic.

"Juice! Get your juice!"

"Oh you want country style... No juice for you!"

Who's the guy looking through my window?

Scout attempts her first rice from chopsticks maneuver. The clean-up crew stands at the ready.

Mama Mouse turns in captured pirate, Dread Baby Roberts, hoping for a hefty reward.

The great Dread Baby looks pleased after her team of rapscallion hounds break her out of the clink.

Warm Spring Days

Things have been fairly quiet around here plus we've been busy spending as much time outside, enjoying these warm spring days, as we can. After a big Earth Day/Pennie Day celebration over the weekend in Bar Harbor we spent the week puttering about. We'll try to get out in the next few days doing something that warrants some picture taking. Until then... there are some cute pictures of Scout and her friend Hazel over at Family Rags.

A Busy Week Of Visiting

Scout's Grampie Mike came for a visit and were so glad that he did! It was short but very sweet and it won't be long until his retirement will allow for many more visits like this one.

Next came Lilybug and her chauffeur Mamabug down from the big island for the day. "Dododo... playing with my dog... dododo... what a minute...

Lily's here!"

Med School Mama and Ms. PM visited on Friday and we all took a trip to the playground where Scout enjoyed the swing in her fancy new purple sunhat. That's right SUN hat. The time of year is near, finally! We also had nice visits with Hazel and Grammie V and Grampie Lelly but we were too busy playing to get any happy snaps. So just close your eyes and visualize how much fun we had.

They Change So Quickly

One day an elegant, calm, and thoughtful young lady:

The next, a complete Chav looking the worse for a 2 litre plastic bottle of Dry Blackthorn and as if she'd stab you for your fish and chips;

The next beating up a poor, defenceless dog.
