Photos from the Rehearsal
We are jumping about chronologically on the Newly Wed blog, but seeing as we didn't find any time to post during the wedding run up and aftermath I thought it would be ok to back fill a little, just in order to keep a full historical record. Therefore, here's the rehearsal at The Jordan Pond House from Saturday, May 27:
Not sure if we are here to do the door or to practice the ceremony: the best man and the groom loom ominously for the camera. You will notice that I have the ability to make the finest tailored clothes look ill-fitting...
The benefits of having an expert in the family: the Reverend Mike has Milja pre-sign the marriage licence so that it doesn't get lost in the post-wedding shuffle.
Everyone hits their mark.
I remember this more than the actual ceremony: all I would see the next day when we did this for real were Jessie's beautiful eyes.
The bridal party (complete with practice bouquet) looks on...
...While the J-Man digs into the veggie booty.
"OK, you first, then you follow.." "Me?" "Yeah, you, then her..."
Dan and Jessie practice walking.
American ladies contemplate popovers while English lads get stuck into the grub in the background.
Unsung wedding hero Colin and Dan display their summer glows. In the large and sordid library of terrible photos of me, this one must rank near the top. Colin looks nice though.
