This isn't as dangerous as it looks, and she was well supervised by her mother, but here's confirmation that Scout is at the intersection of fearlessness and mobility that keeps me awake at night:

She looks so. . . . old. Not old in a decrepit way, but wise beyond her year. And like she could kick Andie's ass. Must be all the cream cheese and olive sandwiches her momma ate, hmmmm Jessie??
