Spooky Spider Day

Scout dressed as Charlotte for her first Halloween. Many thanks to Grammie V for her costume making expertise.

Me as myself - the happiest homemaker on the block. Anyone for some freshly baked cookies?

Arrrrrg-quack. Ye be Captain Hazel B. Duck Pirate.

World Series Champs

This is how our household celebrated the Red Sox four game World Series sweep on Sunday night. It was late for us new old fogies. Albeit subdue we were still very happy to see our lil' ol' team take the crown. Maybe Scout was their good luck charm after all.

It's best to let sleeping babies and dogs lie.

Wake up! Wake up! The Sox won! On second thought...

At least we have the pictures to prove we were all there, united in our support. Not all of us awake but there nonetheless.

Visitors Hurray!

Papa Mike came to visit. Scout enjoyed spending some quality time with her grampy and so did we.

Leaning Apple, Leaning Apple Jr., Lil' Lily and Shirley dropped in on a chilly Wednesday. It was great to have them here and only wish they lived closer - next door would be perfect!

Is the newest member of RSN a good luck charm?

All decked out. She's even wearing her lucky lobster socks.

Watching game six at Grammie V's.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Go Sox!

My Child, The Alien

Given that Scout's father is a permanent resident alien, it is perhaps fitting that her ears have grown like this:

Celebrating Fall The Four Month Old Way

It is officially fall time in Maine. The air crisp, the leaves turned, the Red Sox in the post season... Ah. Scout is enjoying the fall the only way she knows how.

Starting with a walk in the park.

Followed by:

a book,

a bath,

and breakfast with friends, present and future.

Happy Four Months Scout!

We went to MDI this weekend and along with enjoying the fabulous fall weather we met the latest addition to the troop, Lily. Scout and Lily side by side... it's incredible how much changes in four short months. Four months ago Scout was enjoying her first day on the outside and we were fumbling around being new parents.
Now she's old hat and we are in the middle of living "the -rest- of-our-lives".

Scout's Four Month Photo Shoot

Having a mom that works two mornings a week means Scout travels the neighborhood enjoying the company of others. While visiting Hazel's "crib" M.M. (Mom Megan) took some great pictures of The Girl and The Girls.

Ah, yes. She scowls just like her mother.

With all the fun toys, visiting friends is like going to Baby Six-Flags. To make it authentic Scout even spits-up after some of the rides.

Four months old and already being cheeky for the camera.

Don't knock the chins - She can make a glorious, smelly, French style cheese in there.

Just hangin' in/at Hazel's crib.

"A horse walks in to a bar and the bartender says, 'Why the long face?'"
"What's a bar?"

"What? We weren't doing anything. Nothing to see here."
